Dominis' lovely Tarot de Bordeaux was created to celebrate the beauty and history of the Bordeaux region of France. The "diamond" orientation of the large, square cards adds an extra dimension of interest to this wonderful collectible deck. Although published in a stated limited edition of 3,000 copies, approximately one-third of the copies were ruined due to a printing error, and so the actual edition size is much less. Dominis later expanded and reprinted the Bordeaux tarot as a 78-card tarock deck -- although the illustrations were and reformatted and reduced in order to fit on a standard size, rectangular card format.
