Broccoli Tarot

As usual, we can't even begin to decipher the Korean text for this deck, so we're going with the English word we can read for the title: Broccoli. It seems likely the deck was published -- or at least uses licensed characters from -- the manga published by the Japanese company, Broccoli International. Whether the deck represents a sampling of characters from multiple Broccoli product lines, or just from a single Broccoli series whose name we can't translate, we couldn't say (although we're betting on the latter). At any rate, it's more of the same here -- cute, big-eyed manga/anime characters that purported represent the tarot archetypes.

Small set of majors which appears to be the original edition of the tarot illustratons by Yo Su-Lan. The Golden Tarot
Liz Dean, Melissa Launey

England

In print

Offline inventory / in stock

78-card tarot that attempts to combine the classical and the modern. Stylistically, the illustrations have a Renaissance-y feel; according to the accompanying book, the creators were attempting to imbue the deck with the flavor of the Visconti-Sforza deck. Symbolically, however, the deck owes much to the Rider-Waite-Smith deck of the early twentieth century -- while not exactly a RWS clone, the deck expressly attempts to incorporate elements from the latter influential deck. The minor arcana pip cards are non-scenic. 78 cards and 64-page explanatory softcover book in cardboard shelfbox (lid on side)
