Description: Lo Scarbeo's reproduction of the historical Mantegna deck. Unlike a standard, Marseille-style tarot, the Mantegna deck is made of of fifty cards, divided into five groups of ten cards each. The groups represent: the social stations of mankind, the nine Muses (plus Apollo for the tenth card), the Liberal Arts and Sciences, the Cardinal Virtues, and the Heavenly Spheres. In addition to the fifty reproduction cards, Lo Scarabeo includes 25 "teaching cards" (not included in our "# of Cards" count above; actual deck size is generally counted at 75). The images are highlighted with silver foil stamping.
