Description: Black-and-white tarot rendered in an 'updated' Egyptian hieroglypic style. Many of the cards are based directly on Waite and Smith's designs, using Egyptian figures in place of modern ones. Originally published in 1974, and republished in 2000. A variant 'photonegative' version of this deck was published in 1996. 78 cards and book in cardboard shelfbox.

Description: 1996 reprint of the 1974 'Egyptian Japanese Tarot' shown in Kaplan's 'Encyclopedia of Tarot, vol. III,' pp. 188, 190. This is a variation of the original card images, printed as 'photonegatives' of the original (i.e., white illustrations on a black background). Many of the illustrations, particularly on the pip cards, are directly based on the Rider-Waite designs. 78 cards with book in cardboard shelf box.
