Description: When it comes to printing, reprinting, and re-reprinting decks in different formats, no one does it like Italian publisher Lo Scarabeo. In all fairness, however, some decks are entirely worthy of multiple releases. Such is the case with the Tarots of the Imagination: variously available at different times in a 22-card d'Arte version, a beautiful art portfolio version, a 78-card massmarket version... and this edition. Ferenc Pinter's intriguing tarot vision remains compelling, but is unfortunately shrunk down too far, and stuck with unsightly wide white borders. Still, one could do far worse than to have a copy of this deck included in their collection; however you size it, it's a refreshingly bold take on the tarot majors that offers much that is new while retaining most of the ideologically best of the old.

Description: Originally released as a majors-only deck in Lo Scarabeo's 'Tarocchi d'Arte' series, the Imagination tarot was published in an expanded 78-card format in 2000. The pip cards are fully illustrated. The scenes on the cards are surreal, and often bizarre and even grim. The Italian title for this deck is 'Tarocchi dell'Immaginario.'
