New Palladini Tarot

Designer(s), Artist(s): David Palladini
Country of Publication: U.S.A.
Number of Cards: 78
Publication Year: 1996
Publication Status: In Print
Reference: Encyclopedia of Tarot, vol. IV, pp. 440, 441

Description:
Colorful 78-card deck in the RWS vein by the creator of the popular Aquarian Tarot. While roughly equivalent (though certainly not exactly the same) to the Aquarian deck in terms of content, the New Palladini deck's illustration style offers more depth of color and detail... as one might perhaps expect from a deck published some 25+ years later than the aforementioned Aquarian cards.

Number of Cards: 22
Publication Year: 2000

Tarot of the Night

Designer(s), Artist(s): Richard ShadowFox
Country of Publication: U.S.A.
Number of Cards: 78
Publication Year: 2013
Publication Status: In Print

Description:
Ghosts, skeletons, haunted houses, and other iconic images from the shadowy realms of human imagination and nightmare populate this fully-illustrated 78-card deck by the co-creator of the Shadowfox Tarot. The CGI images are a bit to shrunk down and thickly bordered for our tastes, but there are some clever, creative, and deliciously disturbing scenes here to enjoy nonetheless -- for those not afraid to explore the future and the psyche via the "dark side". 78-cards and 256-page softcover companion manual in elongated, heavy-duty, hinged cardboard box.

The Norse Tarot

Designer(s), Artist(s): Clive Barrett
Country of Publication: England
Number of Cards: 78
Publication Year: 1989
Publication Status: Out-of-Print
Reference: Manteia issue #2, p. 8

Description:
One of the very first Norse-themed tarot decks, Barrett's Norse Tarot features what you'd expect: Viking gods appropriately matched to the Major Arcana, and Nordic peoples doing Waite-Smith type things on the Minors. Still, this remains an excellent deck overall -- better than many other such decks which have followed in its wake. As Norse decks go, this one remains near the top of our Favorites list.

NY NY Tarot

Designer(s), Artist(s): Virginia Jester, Chris Hopkins
Country of Publication: U.S.A.
Number of Cards: 78
Publication Year: 2014
Publication Status: In Print

Description:
Photographic tarot with New York City as its subject matter. The pictures focus on architecture, rather than on human subjects. Hauntingly blended in black and white, the pictures are imbued with a paradoxical surreal clarity. We're proud to note that this is one of the first self-published decks we've carried that was made possible by a successful Kickstarter campaign. Keep up the good work, tarot lovers!
