Vampire Tarot

Designer(s), Artist(s): Robert Place
Country of Publication: U.S.A.
Number of Cards: 78
Publication Year: 2009

Description:
Robert Place goes back to the gothic roots of literary vampires, and the era and culture from which Bram Stoker's classic novel arose. Place's illustrative style is a good fit for the task, and the accompanying book provides some wonderfully insightful guidance. Dark, bloody, yes -- but like the proverbial car crash, it's tough to look away. This deck has a lot to share and to teach, for those who give it a chance.

Tarot Vampire

Designer(s), Artist(s): Adam Ball
Country of Publication: Australia
Number of Cards: 78
Publication Year: 2010
Publication Status: Limited Edition

Description:
While not splattered (if you'll pardon the term) with vampires on every card, Adam Ball's Tarot Vampire certainly captures the dark, gothic world of vampires, albeit in a comic-booky sort of way. There's some good drama here, and the images present some solid storytelling possibilities. The pip cards (Ace - 10) are non-scenic.

The Vampires Tarot of the Eternal Night (deck/book kit)

Designer(s), Artist(s): Davide Corsi, Barbara Moore
Country of Publication: Italy
Number of Cards: 78
Publication Year: 2009
Publication Status: In Print

Description:
The second vampire-themed offering from the Italian publishing house of Lo Scarabeo (the first being The Gothic Tarot of Vampires). Unlike the latter's more modern, neo-goth bent, the Eternal Night deck pays homage to the Vampire as depicted in nineteenth century literature. The melodrama is almost palpable.
